Ryan + Behka | Cannon's Edge | Spokane, WA Wedding
I love the story of how Ryan and Behka found me. Ryan just happened to overhear a co worker talking about who she hired to photograph her upcoming wedding, that photographer happened to be me. Since Ryan and Behka had just started planning their wedding, Ryan made sure to take note of the photographer he heard about to look up later. He sent the information on to Behka, and she then contacted me to schedule a consultation. We met up in early February and I knew instantly they were a couple I just had to work with. You could just feel the excitement with every detail they discussed about their wedding. They had that same sweetness about them that we love so much about high school sweethearts, except they go back much further than that.
They have such a great love story. They have known each other since they were children, they first met in 1996. They went to the same church and lived just down the street from each other growing up. They started dating in 2007 (which is the same year my husband and I started dating by the way, great year!) and then in October of 2015, Ryan asked Behka to marry him. They basically grew up together and then took their time as boy friend and girl friend to really get to know each other. They made it through the awkward years, the college years, and now they get to continue this journey, as husband and wife now, for the rest of their years. They are some of the sweetest people I have worked with. The excitement and just pure joy was showing on their faces the whole day. They had been waiting for this moment for years, and here it was.
The family all helped to put together many of the details. They opted for a snack bar style reception with lots of yummy goodies and treats to choose from. There were donuts, candy, cupcakes, and an ice cream machine! The bouquets were made by a family friend. Hair was done by the brides sister. I love the softness of the babies breath and white roses. Sunni with Cannon's Edge did an amazing job with decorating and setting up the day. Thomas Shaw of Traks DJ Service was so amazing to work with and kept the party thriving at the reception.
Ryan and Behka,
Thank you so much for having me photograph your wedding. I am so happy for the both of you to be able to finally call each other "husband and wife"! I love how deeply you love each other. I also love the hearts you have for Jesus. Your pastor made a comment about how you never know who in the crowd may need to hear a message of God's love. He said he felt what better way than to have your first act as husband and wife to be a testament of that truth. That He is a loving God, and invites everyone to the table.
I am looking forward to seeing what life brings the two of you in the future, and again I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to share this day with you!
Sincerely, Amber Tyler
