2017 Wedding Recap | Some of my Favorites | Amber Tyler, Photographer

WOW what a year! 2017 was full of lots of amazing people and awesome adventures. We traveled throughout Idaho, Washington, Montana, Nevada, and New Mexico documenting the sweetest love stories. I went through and selected one image from each wedding to share in this blog post. There are so many images that I love… so some of these I had to just close my eyes and pick one because it was taking me entirely way too long to decide! Haha! Anyway, I will be sharing more from each wedding in more blog posts… so don’t worry, you will get to see more. Until then, enjoy this one image each recap for my 2017 wedding season!

To all of my wedding clients of 2017- THANK YOU! Thank you for letting me be a part of your special day. I am so honored to know you all and to have been able to document such awesome moments. I wish you all the best- here’s to the start of your best adventure yet!

Sincerely, Amber Tyler

Corinna + Michael | Post Falls, ID Wedding | Amber Tyler Photo

Oh my goodness, where do I even start?! First, I think I need to talk about how incredibly special Corinna and Michaels ceremony was. They had their whole wedding right in the backyard of Michaels parents’ home. This was the perfect location for a wedding! You will see there is so much space and incredible views. The ceremony was packed full of sentiment, family, stories, advice, romantic comedy plug ins, and most importantly- love and commitment. Michael chose to do a foot washing ceremony, demonstrating and act of love and service to his wife, just as Jesus did for his disciples. And I have to add that I don’t think there was a dry eye in the audience or wedding party at this time, this was so incredibly beautiful and touching! They also did a unity sand ceremony to demonstrate their lives joining, and becoming one. Everything was so beautiful and full of meaning. Their officiant also just happened to be Michaels Uncle, so the message throughout the whole ceremony was very personal and unique to them as a couple. Right before the end of the ceremony, their close family members came up and everyone in attendance reached their hands forward to say a prayer over their marriage. In case you didn’t know- marriage can be extremely hard at times! So to start off right from the get go, with all the love and support from everyone there, is so extremely special and something I know they will always remember!

The details at the wedding were perfect. Most were done by themselves, and friends and family. Michael and family built the cross and fence used for the ceremony. The amazing floral details on the cross were done by Terrie-Lynn Mort of Bonita Floral Co. The cake and cupcakes were done by Stacie’s Cakes. Brides hair done by Ashlee Anderson. Makeup was done by the brides sisters.

Corinna + Michael,

Thank you so much for having me capture this special day for you!!! I knew when I first met you two, that I had to be your photographer!! I mean, what are the chances of meeting another photographer that has lived basically everywhere you have lived?! haha! I am SO extremely excited for your future together. Michael- good luck in medical school, I know you are going to do amazing things! Good luck on your move to the East Coast, just know there are many many people over here on the West side that love and miss you! When you need a reminder, just take a look at these photos. Congrats Mr. & Mrs. Hillman!

Sincerely, Amber Tyler

Danielle + Brandon | Cannon’s Edge | Spokane, WA

“We are all a little weird and life’s a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love.” -Dr. Seuss

This was one of the quotes that Danielle’s Maid of Honor read during her toast at their reception. She went on to talk about the differences between Danielle and Brandon, and how those differences make each other better when they are together. She spoke of how much Danielle loves to talk, loves to give words of affirmation, and about how Brandon can be really quiet at times- tends to listen more than speaking. The point was made that both giving words of affirmation and listening are two very important parts of a marriage, and that they were already on the right track. In my 7 years of marriage I have learned how important these qualities are. I, much like Danielle, am the talker and my husband is the more quiet one. He has many times taught me the importance of being a good listener and how being able to listen is oftentimes more important than forming a response. It definitely takes balance, and for Danielle and Brandon to already have that part going for them is huge.

Right upon meeting both Danielle and Brandon it was very apparent that they are meant for one another. Their families were amazing as well. Everyone came together so nicely and there was just this overall sense of happiness and contentment throughout the whole day. Brandon’s family traveled to Spokane from Wisconsin, and Danielle’s family from South central Washington. Everyone got along so well that you would think they had all known each other their whole lives.

Danielle and Brandon,

Thank you so much for having me be a part of your special day. I left your wedding feeling energized, loved, and inspired. Everything was absolutely beautiful and just perfect. Your families welcomed me and made me feel like part of the wedding from start to finish. You are both so blessed to have these amazing people in your lives! I can’t wait to see what the future holds for the two of you, and hope to do more photos for you in the future. Here’s to many, many happy years as Mr. and Mrs. Zirbel!

Sincerely, Amber Tyler
