Corinna + Michael | Post Falls, ID Wedding | Amber Tyler Photo

Oh my goodness, where do I even start?! First, I think I need to talk about how incredibly special Corinna and Michaels ceremony was. They had their whole wedding right in the backyard of Michaels parents’ home. This was the perfect location for a wedding! You will see there is so much space and incredible views. The ceremony was packed full of sentiment, family, stories, advice, romantic comedy plug ins, and most importantly- love and commitment. Michael chose to do a foot washing ceremony, demonstrating and act of love and service to his wife, just as Jesus did for his disciples. And I have to add that I don’t think there was a dry eye in the audience or wedding party at this time, this was so incredibly beautiful and touching! They also did a unity sand ceremony to demonstrate their lives joining, and becoming one. Everything was so beautiful and full of meaning. Their officiant also just happened to be Michaels Uncle, so the message throughout the whole ceremony was very personal and unique to them as a couple. Right before the end of the ceremony, their close family members came up and everyone in attendance reached their hands forward to say a prayer over their marriage. In case you didn’t know- marriage can be extremely hard at times! So to start off right from the get go, with all the love and support from everyone there, is so extremely special and something I know they will always remember!

The details at the wedding were perfect. Most were done by themselves, and friends and family. Michael and family built the cross and fence used for the ceremony. The amazing floral details on the cross were done by Terrie-Lynn Mort of Bonita Floral Co. The cake and cupcakes were done by Stacie’s Cakes. Brides hair done by Ashlee Anderson. Makeup was done by the brides sisters.

Corinna + Michael,

Thank you so much for having me capture this special day for you!!! I knew when I first met you two, that I had to be your photographer!! I mean, what are the chances of meeting another photographer that has lived basically everywhere you have lived?! haha! I am SO extremely excited for your future together. Michael- good luck in medical school, I know you are going to do amazing things! Good luck on your move to the East Coast, just know there are many many people over here on the West side that love and miss you! When you need a reminder, just take a look at these photos. Congrats Mr. & Mrs. Hillman!

Sincerely, Amber Tyler

Tessa + Scott | Montana Wedding | Amber Tyler Photographer

You know when you meet a couple, and you think to yourself  “it just makes sense”. Tessa and Scott are one of those couples that when I first met them in person, it just made sense. They were meant for each other. I could just feel right away this is a couple that has it right- they are not only in love, they are each other’s best friend. I’m pretty sure Tessa had a permanent smile on her face, and Scott was so calm and ready right from the get go. They were both so excited to make it official and spend their lives with each other.

This was one of those jobs where it was just good for my soul. I always go into a bit of a slump during winter because I don’t have many weddings (thanks to PNW winter weather…), so I have quite a bit of down time. Getting to spend the day with Scott and Tessa and their families was just what I needed. What I love the most about my job is the connections I get to make with people, all while creating some beautiful art at the same time. I love people. I love, love. And I love documenting love. So naturally, weddings just make me happy and remind me of all the good in the world. I mean, what is better than spending what will be one of the best days of their lives with people?!

Scott + Tessa,

Thank you so much for having me capture your day! I had so much fun getting to know the two of you and document your love! You made my job super easy by being so authentic and just being in the moment. You didn’t let the rain get you down!! And it made for some awesome photos anyway! Ha! I am so excited for what the future has in store for the two of you… and I promise to watch the Lord of the Rings series.. because I’m pretty sure I’m the last person on the planet that hasn’t lol.. These photos put a huge smile on my face, I hope you love them!

Sincerely, Amber Tyler

Bridal Photos | Glacier National Park | Amber Tyler Photographer

This past weekend, I decided on a whim to travel up to Kalispell, Montana to visit my friend Kelly of Kelly Kirksey Photographer. She ended up planning a quick photo shoot for us up at Glacier National Park. I was beyond excited for this because I have been wanting to shoot at Glacier again for years now! I had never seen it at winter and just knew it would make for a stunning shoot. She found an amazing model, a gorgeous dress from Mimi’s Bridal, and a beautiful bouquet from Rose Mountain Floral. Our model, Paige, is a hair stylist as well as makeup artist so she had that part covered! Check out some of my favorites below!
