Winter Engagement | Pacific Northwest Intimate Wedding Photographer

Not very long after I moved here to Coeur d'Alene, ID, I held a contest to give away an engagement shoot so that I could start getting to know engaged couples here as well as give them an opportunity to get to know me. Part of the requirements for entering the contest was that you had to tell me something about your fiance. It could be anything. From what they like, to how you met, or what you love about them. I received so many entries and absolutely loved reading what people had to say about their significant others. They were all very sweet. One entry really stood out to me though. David entered and not only told me why he loved Kershanda so much, but he told me the story of how they met, some of the hurdles they have jumped to be together, and why it meant so much to him to be marrying his best friend. It was one of the sweetest stories I have read in a long time! I could absolutely tell just from this story how much he loves her and how much he wanted to win this shoot for her.

When I contacted Kershanda to let her know that they had won she was so excited and very thankful. I could tell right away that this couple was going to be amazing to shoot with and that they truly were grateful for this opportunity. Of course we hit it off right away. And as you can tell from the photos, they are both extremely photogenic... and very much in love! It was a pretty windy and cloudy day, but that didn't stop us from having fun and getting some amazing shots!
